(July 2008) First a group of performing artists in New
Orleans raised $7,000 to support the Iowa Artist
Relief Fund.
Now a group of Nebraska artists has donated, and delivered, a truckful
of supplies to help out Iowa visual artists who were impacted by this
summer's flooding.
The supplies include pencils, pastels, oils, acrylics and watercolors;
sketch pads and books; brushes and palette knives; craft supplies and
miscellaneous tools; a easel, a drawing table and a kiln.
A few items, including the kiln, are already taken. The rest have been
available for pick-up at CSPS. First come, first served. Priority
will be given to artists directly impacted by the flood.
If you're an area artist with extra materials or tools, that are in
good condition and that flood-affected artists might use, feel free to
bring them by. If you have questions, call CSPS at 319.364.1580. Back to home page
