Louisiana, Lincoln support Iowa artists

(July 2008) First a group of performing artists in New Orleans raised $7,000 to support the Iowa Artist Relief Fund.

Now a group of Nebraska artists has donated, and delivered, a truckful of supplies to help out Iowa visual artists who were impacted by this summer's flooding.

The supplies include pencils, pastels, oils, acrylics and watercolors; sketch pads and books; brushes and palette knives; craft supplies and miscellaneous tools; a easel, a drawing table and a kiln.

A few items, including the kiln, are already taken. The rest have been available for pick-up at CSPS. First come, first served. Priority will be given to artists directly impacted by the flood.
