Our wish list
Working on a limited budget, Legion Arts might be able
to make good use of an item that's taking up space in your basement,
studio or garage.
Please note, though, that we can only accept practical, new or used items in good
working order. (Sorry, you'll just have to find another taker for Aunt
Zelma's florescent orange couch.) On the up side, in most cases your
donation is at least partly tax-deductible.
Here's what we're looking for at the moment:
Floor plans
We need high quality floor plans of the galleries and theatres at CSPS,
to provide to artists and to post on our Web site. We have rough drawings,
including all measurements, from which a draftsman, architect or student could
work.
Ladders
Our volunteer technicians
need a couple of sturdy stepladders that they can carry about the theatre,
in both 12-foot and (especially!) 16-foot versions.
Cars
Actually, we're more interested in borrowing vehicles than acquiring
them (though we'd also consider the latter).
Specifically, when we need to transport art around town, or to or from
Minneapolis, Chicago, or New York, we could save money by borrowing a van or
small truck, rather than having to rent it each time.
And when visiting artists are in town for a week, it would be nice if we
could offer them a car to get themselves to and from the hotel, the arts
center, the grocery store and other places they need to be. If you can help
out with a van, truck or car, let us know.
