Four years after her last studio release, Brenda Weiler returns with End The Rain, her bravest and most personal album to date. Recorded after losing her older sister to suicide in late 2005, the album explores the range of emotions Weiler was then feeling, as evidenced in lyrics from the title track, "I'm not going to say what can be sung." The result is a powerful collection of songs that beautifully articulates a personal journey through loss — an honest, intimate sound, highlighting the nuances of Weiler's pure vocals, personal lyrics and clear guitar sound.
Brenda Weiler started writing songs soon after graduating from high school in her hometown of Fargo, North Dakota. Choosing the open road over college, she spent much of the next eight years touring and writing, releasing five albums to critical acclaim and great regional success. Weiler became known for her ability to connect to her audience, regardless of the size of the venue.  Her insightful songs and compelling voice are original and totally captiviating — sweet but not innocent, soft but not weak. She now splits her time between the Midwest and Portland, Oregon.
CSPS debut | Opening the show is young singer-songwriter Ben Carroll. Carroll comes from a musical family. His parents were members of the Grammy-winning Starland Vocal Band, known for their mid-70s monster hit "Afternoon Delight." He has performed alongside John Legend and other prominent artists, and was voted top solo artist in a reader poll conducted by Amore Magazine. His songwriting and performance achievements were recently recognized by BMI.
