CD release show | Dustin Busch, born
in the hills of southeast Iowa, is a
self-taught guitarist specializing in the “hill-country” blues style of R.L.
Burnside.
After years of wood shedding country blues on the farm, he has backed
songwriters around Iowa City and the Midwest, including Kelly Pardekooper
and the Mike and Amy Finders Band. He also enjoyed a foray in Tuscon,
Arizona, where he improved his chops with the Southwest supergroup 17th
Street Band.
A fan of Sleepy John Estes and Iowa’s Joe Price, Dustin says his music comes
from deep inside his memories of growing up with a lot of time on his hands,
out in nature with few distractions. His music arrives raw from the gut,
giving into an easy swing around the heart of the song. :::
