Engaging with overlapping practices of visual art, film making, and writing, Glenn “Sonnie” Wooden investigates the experiences of Black people through a sociological-and-anthropological-like process by investigating environments, food, and bodies within and around issues of class, race, existentialism, and violence. Sonnie is from Chicago, IL, and now lives and works in Philadelphia, PA. He received a BA from The University of Iowa (2018) and is now an MFA candidate at the University of Pennsylvania (2020).
