Sam Weis is an accomplished non-objective abstract painter, author, 12-string guitarist/recording artist, and an award-winning songwriter. She grew up in Eastern Iowa where she was particularly interested in the work and life of painters Grant Wood, Paul Gauguin, Georgia O’Keefe, Jackson Pollock, and Joan Mitchell. In addition to painting, Sam has been playing guitar since age seven, covering genres ranging from jazz to country and has toured as a guitarist with two bands.
