Who can forget Rusted Root? The multi-platinum band out of Pittsburgh revolved around the writing talents and distinct sound of Michael Glabicki, and went on to become into a musical entity that thrived in a category all its own, producing more than seven albums and selling more than three million units. Front-man Glabicki is probably still best known for writing one of the decade’s ubiquitous hits, “Send Me on My Way,” the sunny, hook-laden theme heard in Matilda and Ice Age.

When the group went on hiatus in 2018, Glabicki used the opportunity to re-imagine his songs, and write some new ones, in a more improvisational setting. Following two decades with the band, Glabicki is now exploring new sounds, and opening new doors, with his solo career. Touring nationally with Rusted Root's guitar player, Dirk Miller, the duo offers a clearly related but totally new musical experience. Both Michael and Dirk play acoustic, electric, and other instruments. Michael often amplifies the rhythm with a kick drum, creating a fuller sound and energy than you’d find with a traditional duo.

A multifaceted musician, producer and songwriter, Glabicki's talents remain unique and uplifting.  His new music, and the duo concerts, are extensions of that creative talent. While you can expect the show to feature more than a few Rusted Roots hits, it also provides a look into the mind of Michael Glabicki via stories and songs freshly imagined and yet to be released.
