Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Alastair Moock has made a name for himself on the folk and Americana circuits. He first started performing in 1995, moving from his home outside New York City to the folk haven of Boston. After working his way up through the local coffeehouse and club circuit, he began touring the US and Europe, eventually graduating to renowned events like the Newport Folk Festival and Norway’s Bergen Music Fest. Soon he was opening for national acts like Arlo Guthrie, Taj Mahal, Ramblin’ Jack Elliot and Greg Brown. When Moock’s twin daughters were born in 2006, he turned his focus to family music, making four albums, which together garnered most of the top awards in American children’s music. In 2017, he returned to his singer-songwriter roots with his first ‘grownup’ album in ten years. The new, self-titled release, produced by Mark Erelli, and featuring drummer Marco Giovino and bassist Marty Ballou, comprises eleven shimmering tracks that evoke a wide breadth of American musical textures. Ranging from early Nashville and country blues, to Western swing and a touch of gospel, the songs display the kind of intimate, storyteller approach at which Moock excels. Nominated for a Grammy, and by the Boston Music Awards for Singer-Songwriter of the Year, The Boston Globe has called Alastair Moock “one of the town’s best and most adventurous songwriters,” while The Washington Post declares “every song is a gem.”

Opening the show is Frances Luke Accord, an inventive and much-admired acoustic duo, originally out of South Bend, that’s been called “the very definition of lean-in music.”
