Postponed from Dec 1 | In
response to
last summer's flood, Legion Arts, Access Iowa, and the Iowa Cultural Corridor
Alliance have teamed up to sponsor a series of free public forums addressing
how artists and communities can support each other during the
rebuilding process that follows a disaster.
The series aims to put Eastern Iowa artists and
organizations in touch with regional and national resources, bring the
cultural community together, and explore opportunities for working together
during this difficult time.
This program, the second in the series, will draw on the resources of
Fractured Atlas, a non-profit organization, based in New York, that helps
artists and arts organizations function more effectively as businesses by
providing access to funding, healthcare, education, and more, all in a
context that honors their individuality and independent spirit. The program,
featuring Adam Natale, Director of Member Series, will focus on how you, the
artist, can take advantage of Fractured Atlas’ Insurance and Development
programs, as well as other support systems available in the field.
The program is free and open to the public.
The presentation and discussion will be followed by a reception.
Those planning to attend
are invited to reserve a place with Joe Jennison of the
Iowa Cultural
Corridor Alliance, at
joe@culturalcorridor.org.
